I was a career bureaucrat (IAS in Odisha Cadre , 1980). Retired as Secretary to Government of India and then came back to my alma mater IIT Bombay, as a full time faculty – a very agreeable Ghar Waapsi!

I coordinate the health and nutrition group at CTARA and the RuTAG (Rural Technology Action Group) activities.

I write satire, both prose and poetry, in Hindi and English. These chronicle our times. I also prepare cross words in Hindi, which I intend doing more regularly (one of the many new year resolutions!).

On 14th January, participated  in a panel discussion on “Harnessing AI for Child Survival and Wellness" at IIT Delhi. It was curated by UNICEF Delhi. The panel was part of a Winter Dialogue organised by the NIMS Institute of Public Health and Governance at IIT Delhi Research Park.
Good opportunity to collect one's thoughts around the subject. 

Strongly recommended the book AI Snake Oil by Arvind Narayanan and Sayash Kapoor to the audience. Suggest the same to all the viewers interested in emerging developments in AI.
