I was a career bureaucrat (IAS in Odisha Cadre , 1980). Retired as Secretary to Government of India and then came back to my alma mater IIT Bombay, as a full time faculty – a very agreeable Ghar Waapsi!
I coordinate the health and nutrition group at CTARA and the RuTAG (Rural Technology Action Group) activities.
I write satire, both prose and poetry, in Hindi and English. These chronicle our times. I also prepare cross words in Hindi, which I intend doing more regularly (one of the many new year resolutions!).

My talk in 2014 in the 'Together for Nutrition' conference. I was Secretary Coordination in the Cabinet Secretariat then. Some of the views remain relevant even today.
